Exploring Visual Context
The style sheet presented here, to the right, was used to complete the project below. Presenting them together adds a deeper understanding of the work completed than only showing one or the other would have. Developing a style sheet of my own as the base for this project was a new and rewarding experience. This was my first opportunity to build such a document, and the result was a successful reference that I enjoyed putting together.
After creating the complete style sheet, the visual project utilized it to inform the design of the finished work. While the pieces are separate from one another, working on them in progression was an essential experience for furthering my abilities to work with visual materials and conceptualizing an idea.
There were many times that I thought it was finished, only to find a design element that needed to be detailed within the style sheet. This was an important lesson to learn about the level of detail that needs to be addressed when building a reference of this type.
Building my abilities involved with the organization and detailing of visual information improved my communication skills. Broadening my understanding of the impact this can have on a project was a valuable experience also. I enjoyed working through the processes involved and found this to be an essential piece of my educational background.
