Critical Website Analysis

Revisiting this project singled it out as a quality example of my work to include in my portfolio. Working on this project brought together a good combination of prior skills and new concepts, which improved my writing overall. In this instance, learning to analyze a particular subject, the Poppin' Joe's Gourmet Kettle Korn website, and presenting a constructive report detailing its effectiveness was a great experience.

The project also involved creating and utilizing different personas to analyze the website further. Following the creation of these personas, the project conveyed a greater sense of authenticity. This sense was enhanced by adding a scaled-down style sheet, which was included with the analysis to aid in potential future revisions or additions to the site's content. 

 

Working through the multiple layers of this project benefited my growth as a communicator by expanding the techniques available to me for future projects. The use of personas was one example, and the importance of a style guide for maintaining uniformity is another. Looking back at the completed project after some time has brought an appreciation for the work done.
